The ladies of Potomac Concierge were a godsend. We moved to our new house in McLean with two little kids running around and no help, overwhelmed with the prospect of unpacking. Aida and her colleagues not only unpacked everything – from the children's toys, kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff… everything – but they organized it all an a super logical and efficient way. They even helped us get rid of boxes and did other little things to make the moving experience as painless as possible. We are so grateful. We would use their services again in a heartbeat.

I had the Power of Attorney for a retired Foreign Service Officer who had been living in a retirement home for the last seven years. He owned a lovely one-bedroom apartment in Georgetown which had remained empty during that time. Since I worked full-time and travelled frequently, I did not have the time to clean out the apartment and prepare it for sale. I hired Potomac Concierge, and specifically, Janet, to prepare the apartment for sale by removing all the furniture, clothes, books, and anything of value and then staging it. Janet and her colleagues cleaned the apartment, arranged for auctioning the valuable pieces, replaced the carpeting with hardwood floors, repaired the windows, arranged for painting of the entire apartment, and arranged for distribution and donation of remaining items to the proper organizations. They also cleaned and removed all items in the storage room. All of this was accomplished within a month with very few calls to me. The staff, and particularly Janet, did an outstanding job. They are very professional, have access to good contractors, and removed a terrific burden from me.

I can hardly put into words how wonderful my experience has been with Potomac Concierge! Jamee and Kristin organized the heck out of my kitchen and office and were an absolute joy to work with–lots of laughter and even a little dancing, but they were also incredibly efficient and innovative, full of great ideas and ways to make our life run more smoothly. I cannot say enough good things about this company. I hired them to help me with my downsizing and move from Potomac Maryland to Falls Church Virginia. I would not have been able to continue to work full time and manage all of this by myself. From the moment I spoke with the owner, Libby Kinkead, I knew that I was in good hands. She linked me with Cheryl McGinnis who is a godsend. After I told her what I needed, she essentially took over. She interviewed movers for me and negotiated a very fair price with the one I chose (who I also highly recommend; Commonwealth Movers with Lionel's team). She was able to be present for Greendrop, the company I hired to come and look at a very large donation and also was there when Purple Heart came to take things away. Throughout, she was knowledgable, professional and extremely supportive. She even managed the final item after I physically moved out; having the leftover "junk" taken away by a company she recommended. Even after the move was complete, I contacted Cheryl to help me with an issue with my new home. It required foundation work that was to be done by a structural engineering company. Unfortunately, the company is terrible at communicating with their clients. Somehow, she worked her magic and was able to get through to the right people, and the job is almost done. I will absolutely use them again and would be happy to speak with anyone who is considering hiring them. Thank you again Libby and Cheryl!!!

Libby was the Manager in getting a house ready for the market. It had been lived in for about 50 years and needed a variety of services. She had an amazing team of workmen and was able to empty the home, fix several items and make it look refreshed. All with quick response and professionalism. Very impressive work.

I worked with Potomac Concierge in November 2019. I was moving with my toddler son from a 3-bedroom apartment in Bethesda to a house in Friendship heights….

For our move we engaged Potomac Concierge to help us stage our home for potential buyers and packing our possessions. Since we are moving from a four-bedroom house to a two-bedroom apartment, we had to downsize which meant de-cluttering some of our possessions. Someone said that the top three stressful events in a life are death, divorce, and moving. The Potomac Concierge team did a fabulous job at every stage of our move. They were competent, professional, efficient, and knowledgeable and, in addition reduced our stress to a very manageable level. They quickly identified those possessions that were not to be shown to potential buyers and those that we should consider discarding but showed sensitivity to our emotional attachments to some items. When it came time to packing, the team quickly and thoroughly did it, including labeling the boxes so we could find where our possessions were after we arrived at our new residence. We do not know how we could have so successfully moved without the support of Potomac Concierge and highly recommend using them for any relocation

I have had many clients that have particular needs. Potomac Concierge has been my first and only call with any need outside my scope of work. Decluttering, Retirement downsizing, errands, organization, personal assisting…. I am not easily impressed, every time it is the same service that exceeds my clients expectations. It is the only call you should make.

Vicki was amazing. We live out of town and needed to close up a rental apartment in MD without traveling because of COVID. Vicki had assisted us last year when we moved out a townhouse and into this apartment. She is so efficient and detail oriented that the job went flawlessly. We were on FaceTime and I could tell her what was to be donated, what was going to a storage unit, etc. She meticulously labeled all of the boxes so when I can get to the storage unit I will know where everything is. As we worked together she reminded me of the Energizer bunny!!!!! She is also a wonderful person who makes it obviously that she loves what she does. Potomac Concierge is also a pleasure to work with. They are responsive and extremely professional. I would recommend them to anyone in need of this service. I will always be grateful that they were able to help us make this transition at what is obviously a difficult time!!!!!

You can hire anyone to unpack boxes, but they brought such skill, thought, and care to the organizing process. I called Potomac Concierge Services (PCS) a few weeks back, frantically needing help to get our house de-cluttered and ready to put on the market for sale before the end of the month. The rub was that we had three days to get it done before I had to leave on a 5 day business trip! Aida and her excellent staff, which included Audrey, Dionne & Susan whisked in and saved the day! They helped us purge, de-clutter and organize, all in record time. This was no small feat considering that my husband and I merged two households during our previous move without the benefit of a purge.
