I recently used Potomac Concierge to help us with a move to a bigger home – they were wonderful from start to finish! Huge thank you to Shannon and Tricia for helping us get moved, unpacked, and organized so quickly and smoothly! Will definitely be using for future moving and organizing needs.

My wife and I recently used Potomac Concierge to take some of the stress and legwork out of our recent move from Alexandria, VA to New York City. Susan, our concierge, was a pleasure to work with. She is a consummate professional, and helped us make coordinating our movers and storage units a breeze! She also helped line up a PO Box in our new city and get the house clean and ready for our new tenants. Susan even found time in her schedule to help with our packing!! One word of caution: we had a very unpleasant experience working with the cleaners they scheduled (Your Cleaning Connection- they were terrible and a nightmare to work with). Potomac and Susan did everything they could on our behalf to get the company to honor the job, even offering to come out and supervise the cleaning. Every other service, particularly the movers (JK movers), that they recommended were exceptional. As said, the cleaners must have been a blip and Potomac again could not have been more wonderful working on our behalf. We would never have survived this move without this gem of a company. We half joke that they are the only reason our marriage weathered this move. Susan is without a doubt the most lovely and professional person, and the owners are also wonderful and incredibly communicative. We can not recommend this company enough. If you are moving, especially if it is an involved job, hire Potomac. They will change your life.

My wife and I called Potomac Concierge at the last minute after moving into our new home. Aida was professional, courteous and accommodating. She set an appointment for the next day. Upon arriving Aida and her team were ready to work. They were beyond helpful and very organized. They helped my wife and I unpack ALL of our boxes, setup and organize our kitchen master bedroom and our closets. It was unbelievable how fast and efficient they work. Prior to the COVID pandemic, I commuted to Washington, D.C. each week for work. Since March 2019, my business travel has been limited, but I continue to maintain an apartment in D.C. I've had the pleasure to work with Kelly W., as she has managed cable/WiFi installation, furniture delivery, coordinating the delivery of packages, etc. She is friendly and professional, and flawlessly manages any task, no matter how complex. Kelly W. has taken a big source of stress out of my life and comes with my highest recommendation.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. I hired them to help me with my downsizing and move from Potomac Maryland to Falls Church Virginia. I would not have been able to continue to work full time and manage all of this by myself. From the moment I spoke with the owner, Libby Kinkead, I knew that I was in good hands. She linked me with Cheryl McGinnis who is a godsend. After I told her what I needed, she essentially took over. She interviewed movers for me and negotiated a very fair price with the one I chose (who I also highly recommend; Commonwealth Movers with Lionel's team). She was able to be present for Greendrop, the company I hired to come and look at a very large donation and also was there when Purple Heart came to take things away. Throughout, she was knowledgable, professional and extremely supportive. She even managed the final item after I physically moved out; having the leftover "junk" taken away by a company she recommended. Even after the move was complete, I contacted Cheryl to help me with an issue with my new home. It required foundation work that was to be done by a structural engineering company. Unfortunately, the company is terrible at communicating with their clients. Somehow, she worked her magic and was able to get through to the right people, and the job is almost done. I will absolutely use them again and would be happy to speak with anyone who is considering hiring them. Thank you again Libby and Cheryl!!!

Vicki, Kim, and Aida were so great! They, very last minute, were able to pack up, move, and store our entire office without me needing to even be in the city. It all went perfectly. Communication was amazing and overall service was just great. Would recommend to anyone who needs a hand in the area! Thanks again!!

It was a pleasure to work with Amelia and her team at Potomac Concierge! They did a beautiful job organizing various bookcases as well as three large walk-in closets at the Ritz Residence. I would definitely recommend them to any of my clients!

You can hire anyone to unpack boxes, but they brought such skill, thought, and care to the organizing process. Using Potomac Concierge Services has been a game changer and amazing for our family! They helped us prepare for a move to temporary locations in preparation for a house renovation. Robin and team were incredible/terrific/great! They helped us declutter our house before we moved, helped coordinate the move, helped pack and unpack into our new temporary spaces! They thought of all the details that I would have forgotten. And, they also supported during the stressful moments. This is the first week that I have not seen any of them in the past two and a half months and I miss them. They are all so pleasant, helpful and fun. I was helping a friend move, and Potomac Concierge Services was there to unpack. Vanessa, Kelly, and Kristen were fantastic. They are organized, diligent, and incredibly hard-working. Vicki was amazing. We live out of town and needed to close up a rental apartment in MD without traveling because of COVID. Vicki had assisted us last year when we moved out a townhouse and into this apartment. She is so efficient and detail oriented that the job went flawlessly. We were on FaceTime and I could tell her what was to be donated, what was going to a storage unit, etc. She meticulously labeled all of the boxes so when I can get to the storage unit I will know where everything is. As we worked together she reminded me of the Energizer bunny!!!!! She is also a wonderful person who makes it obviously that she loves what she does. Potomac Concierge is also a pleasure to work with. They are responsive and extremely professional. I would recommend them to anyone in need of this service. I will always be grateful that they were able to help us make this transition at what is obviously a difficult time!!!!!

Potomac Concierge did a beautiful job this summer on the substantial renovation of my condominium in Adams Morgan. I live a three-hour drive from Washington, and I literally could not have done it without them. Actually, they did it all and I was left with the fun part of picking out styles and colors. The work on my condo was extensive – updating a bathroom (new vanity, flooring, drywall repair, etc.), bead board and new flooring in the utility area, a new garbage disposal, oriental rug cleaning, new windows with new granite sills, and 15 years' worth (!) of handyman jobs. Because Potomac Concierge is a group of intelligent self-starters, I really could (and did) leave everything to them. After one personal meeting to discuss my "wish list", communication was by email at my convenience. The stress of renovation, in my opinion, is due to difficulty in scheduling and quality control issues. All of this was borne by Potomac Concierge. I told them that when I saw the finished project, I felt like the women on HGTV who start crying at the "reveal". I do not write reviews, as a rule, but because I found Potomac Concierge on the internet, and took a leap of faith, I feel a responsibility to anyone else out there who is looking for help. You cannot go wrong if you hire them!

I am so thankfully I was able to work with Jamee for 9 months last year as I was preparing to relocate to Massachusetts. I have a lot of stuff and it was a disorganized mess. Jamee was great to work with. She was very patient and non judgemental. We got so much done each visit! She helped me get rid of trash and donations. She hooked me up with green Drop in Friendship Heights and inspired me to do some donations even on days I was not working with her. I don't know how I could have handle getting ready for the move without her. Now that I am in Massachusetts, I wish I could find someone even 10% as great to help me get settled in. Potomac Concierge recently helped us move my father out of his home of more than a half-century and across the country to a senior living community. This was, as you can imagine, a complex and stressful undertaking, and they handled it all with patience, experitse, and thoughtfulness. Libby was very effective in getting the project off the ground–setting expectations, understanding our needs, getting to grips with the particular situation. This took a bit, but once we were going she found the right solutions to our situation. In particular she assigned Dana to our case. I can't recommend her highly enough. I am a single, heavy set Business Owner with crazy work hours and no support system (at least not any that I would burden). I had just bought my first home after living in an apartment for over 20 years. I needed to furnish my entire new house and have a number of repairs done. So I was looking at having to make a sizable amount of purchases, schedule deliveries and installations, all which required supervision in the midst of keeping the money coming in with work. Quite frankly, I had no idea how I was going to get all these done. Enter Potomac Concierge Service’s Kim Thompson and Debbie Parrillo to the rescue. On Day-1 when I met them at my house in Falls Church for a consultation, it was so cold in the house because the furnace had decided to go belly up that we couldn’t take our coats off. It was nearly unbearable to conduct this initial meeting. Not only did they stay, but Debbie had someone come out a fix and service the furnace the very next day. The ink was barely dry on my contract with them, and they were already taking care of my needs. Not only is Kim’s taste and style worthy of her own Bravo TV show, but her ability to find just the right piece and resolve space constraints is near Sunday morning church inspirational. The first time I walked in the house after she initially staged it, I couldn’t stop smiling for days! The Cable TV installer was not only late but took forever to arrive; I’m talking way past normal business hours. I was stuck at work trying to get a client deliverable out and couldn’t be there. Kim not only stayed ridiculously late for this person to come and complete the installation. She kept me apprised via text through the whole ordeal. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Just recently after she had already supervised and staged all of the initial furniture buys to make my house look like an amazing magazine ad, her attention to detail, diligence, and coordination skills successfully juggled several equipment upgrades, multiple deliveries, and a landscape consultation all in one day. I’m talking scratch it off checklist, done. Potomac Concierge not only has these two extremely capable professionals to directly assist my me as their client. Their network of trusted vendors and contractors to do the work is such an added-value to the support they have provided. Seriously their Rolodex easily rivals Angie’s List and the quality to date has been superb. So far throughout my entire experience with them, I have not had to make a single phone call to arrange for any third party services. Kim and Debbie have done all the leg work, leaving me free to concentrate on work and my normal life. And I truly can’t begin to articulate through words how stress-free my life has been since contracting Potomac Concierge. Seriously my Partners at work only know that I’m in the middle of a home move because I’ve told them it’s happening and the fact that I act like-a-kid on Christmas morning when I provide them with updates. Thanks to Potomac Concierge Services, I’m about a week away of completing Phase I, getting the new home ready for me to move in. For our move we engaged Potomac Concierge to help us stage our home for potential buyers and packing our possessions. Since we are moving from a four-bedroom house to a two-bedroom apartment, we had to downsize which meant de-cluttering some of our possessions. Someone said that the top three stressful events in a life are death, divorce, and moving. The Potomac Concierge team did a fabulous job at every stage of our move. They were competent, professional, efficient, and knowledgeable and, in addition reduced our stress to a very manageable level. They quickly identified those possessions that were not to be shown to potential buyers and those that we should consider discarding but showed sensitivity to our emotional attachments to some items. When it came time to packing, the team quickly and thoroughly did it, including labeling the boxes so we could find where our possessions were after we arrived at our new residence. We do not know how we could have so successfully moved without the support of Potomac Concierge and highly recommend using them for any relocation

I cannot recommend Potomac Concierge highly enough. We hired them to help organize our kitchen in our new home and Rachel and Michelle were an absolute dream team. They worked efficiently and asked really smart questions to help me figure out where things should go in our unusually shaped space. By the time they left, we were easily 80% done with our kitchen and I'm already scoping out new projects to hire them for again.
