We recently enlisted Potomac Concierge to help with unpacking and organizing after our move, and the experience was outstanding. Their team — Amelia, Joan, Kristin, and Shannon — was prompt, professional, and genuinely delightful, all while unpacking more than 140 boxes in just two days and even finishing ahead of schedule. Aida and her team were amazing! With everyone home during COVID-19 we needed more space. Luckily we found a great house but then It dawned on me, we had to move. Luckily our realtor was able to recommend Potomac Concierge a turnkey and contactless(if you opt for that) company that takes care of every detail of your move. I had a move in October with a lot of moving parts and I could not have done it without Joyce, Aida and the team at Potomac Concierge. It's the first move I've had when I didn't think twice about the logistics or the sequence of events – I left that all up to them. We had a flawless move, from a furnished rental and two large storage units into a newly renovated townhouse in Dupont Circle, and all of the management and parking permits and junk pick-up that that entailed. Using Potomac Concierge Services has been a game changer and amazing for our family! They helped us prepare for a move to temporary locations in preparation for a house renovation. Robin and team were incredible/terrific/great! They helped us declutter our house before we moved, helped coordinate the move, helped pack and unpack into our new temporary spaces! They thought of all the details that I would have forgotten. And, they also supported during the stressful moments. For our move we engaged Potomac Concierge to help us stage our home for potential buyers and packing our possessions. Since we are moving from a four-bedroom house to a two-bedroom apartment, we had to downsize which meant de-cluttering some of our possessions. Someone said that the top three stressful events in a life are death, divorce, and moving. The Potomac Concierge team did a fabulous job at every stage of our move. They were competent, professional, efficient, and knowledgeable and, in addition reduced our stress to a very manageable level. They quickly identified those possessions that were not to be shown to potential buyers and those that we should consider discarding but showed sensitivity to our emotional attachments to some items. When it came time to packing, the team quickly and thoroughly did it, including labeling the boxes so we could find where our possessions were after we arrived at our new residence. We do not know how we could have so successfully moved without the support of Potomac Concierge and highly recommend using them for any relocation

I cannot say enough good things about this company. I hired them to help me with my downsizing and move from Potomac Maryland to Falls Church Virginia. I would not have been able to continue to work full time and manage all of this by myself. From the moment I spoke with the owner, Libby Kinkead, I knew that I was in good hands. She linked me with Cheryl McGinnis who is a godsend. After I told her what I needed, she essentially took over. She interviewed movers for me and negotiated a very fair price with the one I chose (who I also highly recommend; Commonwealth Movers with Lionel's team). She was able to be present for Greendrop, the company I hired to come and look at a very large donation and also was there when Purple Heart came to take things away. Throughout, she was knowledgable, professional and extremely supportive. She even managed the final item after I physically moved out; having the leftover "junk" taken away by a company she recommended. Even after the move was complete, I contacted Cheryl to help me with an issue with my new home. It required foundation work that was to be done by a structural engineering company. Unfortunately, the company is terrible at communicating with their clients. Somehow, she worked her magic and was able to get through to the right people, and the job is almost done. I will absolutely use them again and would be happy to speak with anyone who is considering hiring them. Thank you again Libby and Cheryl!!!

Downsized from house to condo and Potomac Concierge kept me sane. Shannon, Michelle and Dania were so unbelievably brilliant – prevented me from being overwhelmed and not only great fun to hang out with— they got my kitchen organized with such thought and efficiency. Highly recommend!!!!!!

All of the women I worked with from Potomac Concierge (Cheryl, Vikki, Trish) were not only helpful, organized, energetic and focused, but they were also not afraid to get their hands dirty to get the job done. And they did it all with a sense of humor, warmth and the wisdom that comes only from experience. They efficiently helped me move out of my house, including sorting and cleaning most of my belongings, and move into a rental house after experiencing an environmental disaster in our home. I can’t say enough good things about Potomac Concierge! I reached out to Aida about help with a big move (two houses into one) and she replied immediately. Her team took care of coordinating with the movers, handling no parking signs and ALLLLL the packing and unpacking. (They even did thoughtful things, such as reach out to neighbors.) I can’t tell you what a relief it is to be moved in and have every box out of the house within 24 hours – and to have everything thoughtfully organized and put away. I am a single, heavy set Business Owner with crazy work hours and no support system (at least not any that I would burden). I had just bought my first home after living in an apartment for over 20 years. I needed to furnish my entire new house and have a number of repairs done. So I was looking at having to make a sizable amount of purchases, schedule deliveries and installations, all which required supervision in the midst of keeping the money coming in with work. Quite frankly, I had no idea how I was going to get all these done. Enter Potomac Concierge Service’s Kim Thompson and Debbie Parrillo to the rescue. On Day-1 when I met them at my house in Falls Church for a consultation, it was so cold in the house because the furnace had decided to go belly up that we couldn’t take our coats off. It was nearly unbearable to conduct this initial meeting. Not only did they stay, but Debbie had someone come out a fix and service the furnace the very next day. The ink was barely dry on my contract with them, and they were already taking care of my needs. Not only is Kim’s taste and style worthy of her own Bravo TV show, but her ability to find just the right piece and resolve space constraints is near Sunday morning church inspirational. The first time I walked in the house after she initially staged it, I couldn’t stop smiling for days! The Cable TV installer was not only late but took forever to arrive; I’m talking way past normal business hours. I was stuck at work trying to get a client deliverable out and couldn’t be there. Kim not only stayed ridiculously late for this person to come and complete the installation. She kept me apprised via text through the whole ordeal. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Just recently after she had already supervised and staged all of the initial furniture buys to make my house look like an amazing magazine ad, her attention to detail, diligence, and coordination skills successfully juggled several equipment upgrades, multiple deliveries, and a landscape consultation all in one day. I’m talking scratch it off checklist, done. Potomac Concierge not only has these two extremely capable professionals to directly assist my me as their client. Their network of trusted vendors and contractors to do the work is such an added-value to the support they have provided. Seriously their Rolodex easily rivals Angie’s List and the quality to date has been superb. So far throughout my entire experience with them, I have not had to make a single phone call to arrange for any third party services. Kim and Debbie have done all the leg work, leaving me free to concentrate on work and my normal life. And I truly can’t begin to articulate through words how stress-free my life has been since contracting Potomac Concierge. Seriously my Partners at work only know that I’m in the middle of a home move because I’ve told them it’s happening and the fact that I act like-a-kid on Christmas morning when I provide them with updates. I used Potomac Concierge to help organize a newly installed closet system. I wanted to start off with a highly organized closet – color coded, by season and style. Vicki came in fully equipped with supplies and ideas. We went through my items, sorted, hung, folded – the result was a beautiful closet that looks like something from a magazine. I did underestimate how much time it would take to get everything done (even though Vicki worked quickly and efficiently) but I was also happy that I participated along with her because it gave me an understanding on how to keep it organized which is ultimately my main goal. Well, it finally happened: A big move forced me to deal with my storage unit! I had a mix of *stuff* ranging from old furniture to art supplies–my own items and my late mother's–and it was nearly impossible to make a dent on my own. Between Jennifer's truly outstanding organizational skills and the help of a small crew to move heavy items (and remove the things I needed to part with), my 10×22' nightmare became a manageable space in three hours! I would go so far as to say that it was a genuinely fun morning–which is especially impressive given the sheer emotional weight of going through a parent's personal effects.
