I am so happy that I found Potomac Concierge! About 1/2 of the way through a whole-house renovation, I hit a wall. We had so much "stuff" to get out of the house, decide what to keep, and how to dispose of what we weren't keeping. It was overwhelming and I was stuck! While researching the many home auction and estate sale options, I stumbled onto the Potomac Concierge website and immediately liked their approach to beig an assistant in all things remodel management and home organization. I booked a free consultation call with Libby Kinkead and she was not only emphathetic, but so incredibly helpful in sharing insights about charitable donations and the stuff we wanted to get rid of. Libby set me up with Audrey Mulholland and it was like having a white knight ride in! Audrey has a wonderful demeanor, is professional but warm, understands how to gently prod to keep me on track (as in "is that piece really keeping to the feel you are going for?"), jumps in to do anything, keeps moving things along when a subcontractor pulls me away, and always helps balance the stress by encouraging me to see the progress, not the mess. Audrey's expertise in furniture and clothing consignment and donation enabled me to sell so much rather than just give it away. Forget the "Kondo Method" — the process with Audrey is as effective and, even better, it's fun because she becomes a friend. I'm still working with Audrey until we can put away the last pot and hang the last shirt. I can't recommend Audrey and Potomac Concierge strongly enough and am grateful that they do what they do!

For our move we engaged Potomac Concierge to help us stage our home for potential buyers and packing our possessions. Since we are moving from a four-bedroom house to a two-bedroom apartment, we had to downsize which meant de-cluttering some of our possessions. Someone said that the top three stressful events in a life are death, divorce, and moving. The Potomac Concierge team did a fabulous job at every stage of our move. They were competent, professional, efficient, and knowledgeable and, in addition reduced our stress to a very manageable level. They quickly identified those possessions that were not to be shown to potential buyers and those that we should consider discarding but showed sensitivity to our emotional attachments to some items. When it came time to packing, the team quickly and thoroughly did it, including labeling the boxes so we could find where our possessions were after we arrived at our new residence. We do not know how we could have so successfully moved without the support of Potomac Concierge and highly recommend using them for any relocation

Vicki and Dionne Were Magnificent! We decided to renovate our kitchen immediately AND prepare to begin a great big new job right around the same time. This meant a move from the city where the prior job was located, into the basement of our home, and then reorganizing our home after the renovation. These ladies made it all happen and did so with an excellence that was unmatched. I came home one day and my kitchen was packed, stacked, and labeled. What's more, a fully equipped mini-kitchen was set up in my basement. We lived there for months and had EVERYTHING we needed. Then, when the kitchen was done, they lined drawers, organized and unpacked. It was a thing of beauty. The movers arrived and these ladies went to work. They sorted, organized, and purged until all closets and cabinets were beautifully set. Then they reorganized furniture, set up an office, and got me ready to begin my new position with a sense of confidence and order that I could never have pulled off without Potomac Concierge. Libby, Shannon and Claire helped me move with very little notice. I thought I could do everything myself, but got too busy with work. They had less than two weeks notice and made it happen. Not only am I unpacked, but all of the boxes are gone and my kitchen is better organized than if I had done it myself. Libby Kinkead and Potomac Concierge have truly created a process and built a team that simultaneously expedites, accelerates and humanizes moving from one home to another! Leading up to the move, Potomac Concierge specialist, Kim, became an essential part of my daily sorting / purging / packing process – frequently taking initiative to help me prioritize getting specific tasks completed (even running errands when needed). Move Day itself was an incredible experience of how productive and supportive a team of six people can be – with no one duplicating anyone else's work tasks. What Potomac Concierge did for me in one day, truly would have taken me 3-6 months without them! My new place already started to feel like home the first night I slept there (and Potomac Concierge even made up my bed in pre-selected fresh sheets!).

Well, it finally happened: A big move forced me to deal with my storage unit! I had a mix of *stuff* ranging from old furniture to art supplies–my own items and my late mother's–and it was nearly impossible to make a dent on my own. Between Jennifer's truly outstanding organizational skills and the help of a small crew to move heavy items (and remove the things I needed to part with), my 10×22' nightmare became a manageable space in three hours! I would go so far as to say that it was a genuinely fun morning–which is especially impressive given the sheer emotional weight of going through a parent's personal effects.
