We highly recommend Potomac Concierge – a top notch business!!! Last year, we sold our home in McLean, VA and prepared to rent locally. A friend recommended Potomac Concierge and we worked with Aida Middel during a time of unknowns– where we would move, what we would do… Aida was helpful in suggesting what we needed at the rental… what could be stored, and what we should not keep. She was professional, cooperative, and considerate as we sifted through belongings making decisions. We appreciated suggestions vs. being asked what to do. She helped with packing and even with marking furniture placement when we found a rental. She also recommended a professional moving company, JK moving. A year later, we prepared to move out of state. We call on Aida and PC and we were grateful and fortunate to work with Jamee Whittan. Jamee is fantastic! We immediately connected on what needed to be done and, again, Jamee did not wait for guidance – she assessed the situation after a walk-through and formed a “game plan!” This efficiency reduced the stress enough so that I felt at ease to focus on work and other tasks. Jamee was very friendly and patient and listened as we sorted through the priorities and next steps. She remembered details of our schedule (including packing for my husband who was taking boxes to FL in advance of JK moving). Jamee was very helpful in setting the schedule for future visits. Once she had a schedule conflict and she immediately arranged for Kristen O’Brien to help. I appreciated that since I had blocked the time in advance. Kristen was equally friendly, efficient, professional, and patient!!!. I called for help during a very busy time but PC went “the extra mile!” It was a pleasure to work with Jamee and Kristen and I trusted them both. We simply didn't have enough time to coordinate all aspects of the move AND continue to work – and we were grateful that Aida, Jamee, and Kristen stepped in to help. We appreciated their patience and kind approach to an otherwise stressful situation. We still felt stress related to the move, but not with Jamee and Kristen! I assumed I would help with packing (!) but they had confidence in their approach and took initiative to get things done, leaving me to work on other tasks. They communicated well during the process to ensure we were always on the same page. They were both so very easy to get along with and they managed to get so much done each day while creating a calm environment. Truly 5-star service!

The ladies of Potomac Concierge were a godsend. We moved to our new house in McLean with two little kids running around and no help, overwhelmed with the prospect of unpacking. Aida and her colleagues not only unpacked everything – from the children's toys, kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff… everything – but they organized it all an a super logical and efficient way. They even helped us get rid of boxes and did other little things to make the moving experience as painless as possible. We are so grateful. We would use their services again in a heartbeat.

What a great experience! I had Kelly and Marley help me with unpacking and putting things away in my new apartment right after a move in, including setting up the kitchen and master bedroom, among other tasks. They were terrific–experts at what they do, and very kind and patient with me during a very challenging moving week. I had quite a lot of travel during and after Thanksgiving, and needed some support with holiday decor. Kelly and Kristin truly made this Christmas the best ever. This duo is remarkable. They unloaded and opened all of the decorations (after marking them according to rooms last year) and did an amazing job helping me make everything beautiful. They wrapped presents like they should appear in the next Nutcracker. Positive, productive, professional and punctual; I love everything they created and every effort they made. Potomac Concierge recently helped us move my father out of his home of more than a half-century and across the country to a senior living community. This was, as you can imagine, a complex and stressful undertaking, and they handled it all with patience, experitse, and thoughtfulness. Libby was very effective in getting the project off the ground–setting expectations, understanding our needs, getting to grips with the particular situation. This took a bit, but once we were going she found the right solutions to our situation. In particular she assigned Dana to our case. I can't recommend her highly enough. We literally could not have done it without her. She went out of her way to make this easier for my father, and for the rest of us, who live relatively far away. Shannon was terrific, working under a challenging situation—conducting a long-distance Facetime inventory, working to clarify and classify a decidedly disorganized estate, overseeing careful packing of vintage concert posters and music memorabilia, as well as personal belongings going into storage after a long-time friend's move to a nursing home. She never made assumptions but checked with me as to identifications and such, and made sure everything was clearly catalogued. And she also made sure that when the materials were moved into the storage unit, they were organized for easy access. Lots of photos as well, to make things even clearer. An amazing job all around I'm truly thankful for her partnership in this difficult time.

Move Management Solutions for Downsizing & Organizing

We offer service packages in the following timeframes:

  • 4 hours– Perfect for focusing on one room or clearing out the clutter in your home, this package is the right amount of time for a specific project or task.
  • 8 hours– This next-level package is ideal for tackling a broader area of your home, such as an entire floor or living space.
  • 12 hours– If you’re moving or downsizing, we can use this time to sort through all of your belongings, then decide what items to keep and where to keep them.
  • 16 hours– For a bigger transition or major overhaul, we’ll split our time into several sessions to prepare you for your new living space or make your current home more functional.

A La Carte Services

If you need one specific service for your home, choose from any of these options (4-hour minimum required):

  • Planning, coordinating, and organizing the entire moving process, including a moving timeline and vendor management

  • Guiding clients through a structured and simple decision-making process to eliminate clutter and organize belongings

  • Arranging, sorting, and labeling possessions by category (keep, donate, discard, sell, or pass along to family and friends)

  • Coordinating shipping, estate sales, appraisers, and storage facilities

  • Get me started– With this package, you receive 10 hours of unpacking and organizing services that will help unpack the essentials and reduce your stress on move-in day.
  • Make my new home operational– With this package, you receive 20 hours of unpacking and organizing services that will ensure your home is ready for a relaxing evening, including all sheets on the bed and all groceries in the pantry.
  • Have a place for everything and everything in its place– With this full-service package, you receive 50 hours of unpacking, organizing, and settling-in services (as well as a full suite of concierge services—more information upon booking) to make sure that your home is completely ready for living.

A La Carte Services

If you need one specific service for your home, choose from any of these options (4-hour minimum required):

  • Directing furniture and box placement

  • Unpacking, organizing, and setting up all living spaces

  • Removing all packing materials after unpacking and organizing

  • Reconnecting electronics

  • Hanging pictures and shelves, mounting TV, and reassembling items

  • Coordinating with vendors and overseeing all work needed for move-in

  • Making beds, setting up bathrooms, and organizing kitchen

Our Policies

  • Please book your appointment one to two weeks in advance to reserve your preferred dates.
  • A surcharge will apply for appointments scheduled on weekends or holiday weeks.
  • Travel fees may apply.
