My wife and I recently used Potomac Concierge to take some of the stress and legwork out of our recent move from Alexandria, VA to New York City. Susan, our concierge, was a pleasure to work with. She is a consummate professional, and helped us make coordinating our movers and storage units a breeze! She also helped line up a PO Box in our new city and get the house clean and ready for our new tenants. Susan even found time in her schedule to help with our packing!! One word of caution: we had a very unpleasant experience working with the cleaners they scheduled (Your Cleaning Connection- they were terrible and a nightmare to work with). Potomac and Susan did everything they could on our behalf to get the company to honor the job, even offering to come out and supervise the cleaning. Every other service, particularly the movers (JK movers), that they recommended were exceptional. As said, the cleaners must have been a blip and Potomac again could not have been more wonderful working on our behalf. We would never have survived this move without this gem of a company. We half joke that they are the only reason our marriage weathered this move. Susan is without a doubt the most lovely and professional person, and the owners are also wonderful and incredibly communicative. We can not recommend this company enough. If you are moving, especially if it is an involved job, hire Potomac. They will change your life.

A friend recommended Potomac Concierge and we worked with Aida Middel during a time of unknowns– where we would move, what we would do… Aida was helpful in suggesting what we needed at the rental… what could be stored, and what we should not keep. She was professional, cooperative, and considerate as we sifted through belongings making decisions. We appreciated suggestions vs. being asked what to do. She helped with packing and even with marking furniture placement when we found a rental. She also recommended a professional moving company, JK moving. A year later, we prepared to move out of state. We call on Aida and PC and we were grateful and fortunate to work with Jamee Whittan. Jamee is fantastic! We immediately connected on what needed to be done and, again, Jamee did not wait for guidance – she assessed the situation after a walk-through and formed a “game plan!” This efficiency reduced the stress enough so that I felt at ease to focus on work and other tasks. Jamee was very friendly and patient and listened as we sorted through the priorities and next steps. She remembered details of our schedule (including packing for my husband who was taking boxes to FL in advance of JK moving). Jamee was very helpful in setting the schedule for future visits. Once she had a schedule conflict and she immediately arranged for Kristen O’Brien to help. I appreciated that since I had blocked the time in advance. Kristen was equally friendly, efficient, professional, and patient!!!. I called for help during a very busy time but PC went “the extra mile!” It was a pleasure to work with Jamee and Kristen and I trusted them both. We simply didn't have enough time to coordinate all aspects of the move AND continue to work – and we were grateful that Aida, Jamee, and Kristen stepped in to help. We appreciated their patience and kind approach to an otherwise stressful situation. We still felt stress related to the move, but not with Jamee and Kristen! I assumed I would help with packing (!) but they had confidence in their approach and took initiative to get things done, leaving me to work on other tasks. I called Potomac Concierge Services (PCS) a few weeks back, frantically needing help to get our house de-cluttered and ready to put on the market for sale before the end of the month. The rub was that we had three days to get it done before I had to leave on a 5 day business trip! Aida and her excellent staff, which included Audrey, Dionne & Susan whisked in and saved the day! They helped us purge, de-clutter and organize, all in record time. This was no small feat considering that my husband and I merged two households during our previous move without the benefit of a purge. Add five years and two kids to the mix and you can imagine the task we were facing. To say we felt overwhelmed was an understatement! But, the PCS staff immediately put our minds at ease. Kelly had a solution to every problem and always was calm while addressing any challenge. I think of Kelly as my guardian angel.
