I had a last minute cable appointment and was searching late Friday for someone to come complete a task on Monday. Time was of the essence! Potomac Concierge was able to accommodate a last minute request and had my task assigned within a couple of hours. I work in furnished housing and in this industry, you have to have reliable people on the ground as I am often far away from all my set ups. Vicki showed up on time and completed the task perfectly in every way. I had to give her very little direction and she even did a few extra things that made it complete for me. I had a move in October with a lot of moving parts and I could not have done it without Joyce, Aida and the team at Potomac Concierge. It's the first move I've had when I didn't think twice about the logistics or the sequence of events – I left that all up to them. We had a flawless move, from a furnished rental and two large storage units into a newly renovated townhouse in Dupont Circle, and all of the management and parking permits and junk pick-up that that entailed. Vicki came to reorganize two of my closets and had everything done within 3 hours! We tossed very few items and yet by the end I had gained back a lot of space in the closets.

I had the Power of Attorney for a retired Foreign Service Officer who had been living in a retirement home for the last seven years. He owned a lovely one-bedroom apartment in Georgetown which had remained empty during that time. Since I worked full-time and travelled frequently, I did not have the time to clean out the apartment and prepare it for sale. I hired Potomac Concierge, and specifically, Janet, to prepare the apartment for sale by removing all the furniture, clothes, books, and anything of value and then staging it. Janet and her colleagues cleaned the apartment, arranged for auctioning the valuable pieces, replaced the carpeting with hardwood floors, repaired the windows, arranged for painting of the entire apartment, and arranged for distribution and donation of remaining items to the proper organizations. They also cleaned and removed all items in the storage room. All of this was accomplished within a month with very few calls to me. The staff, and particularly Janet, did an outstanding job. They are very professional, have access to good contractors, and removed a terrific burden from me.

Joyce and Vicki saved us. We were mired in the sad and overwhelming task of emptying our mother’s home of its zillions of treasures to prep for estate and house sale. They kept us focused, assured, and on schedule. These ladies are hard workers, punctual, knowledgeable, confident and kind. Outstanding professionals who I will rehire soon to help with home projects. Many, many thanks to Potomac Concierge Services and to the Wash Post where we learned of them.

I literally could not have stayed in my home during the pandemic nor gotten my house ready to sell without Kelly’s outstanding assistance. Kelly had a solution to every problem and always was calm while addressing any challenge. I think of Kelly as my guardian angel. Kristin also was essential during the process of packing up my house belongings and moving into my new apartment. As an example of the special care they gave to my china cup collection, Kelly took photographs of the secretary and display case in which the cups were displayed and then she and Kristin unpacked the cups and put them back in the identical order. I am eternally grateful to both of them.

Vicki, Kim, and Aida were so great! They, very last minute, were able to pack up, move, and store our entire office without me needing to even be in the city. It all went perfectly. I can’t say enough good things about Potomac Concierge! I reached out to Aida about help with a big move (two houses into one) and she replied immediately. Her team took care of coordinating with the movers, handling no parking signs and ALLLLL the packing and unpacking. (They even did thoughtful things, such as reach out to neighbors.) I can’t tell you what a relief it is to be moved in and have every box out of the house within 24 hours – and to have everything thoughtfully organized and put away. To top it off, everyone was incredibly nice and friendly, even towards our nosy pets 🙂 Hire Potomac Concierge!

We highly recommend Potomac Concierge – a top notch business!!! Last year, we sold our home in McLean, VA and prepared to rent locally. A friend recommended Potomac Concierge and we worked with Aida Middel during a time of unknowns– where we would move, what we would do… Aida was helpful in suggesting what we needed at the rental… what could be stored, and what we should not keep. She was professional, cooperative, and considerate as we sifted through belongings making decisions. We appreciated suggestions vs. being asked what to do. She helped with packing and even with marking furniture placement when we found a rental. She also recommended a professional moving company, JK moving. A year later, we prepared to move out of state. We call on Aida and PC and we were grateful and fortunate to work with Jamee Whittan. Jamee is fantastic! We immediately connected on what needed to be done and, again, Jamee did not wait for guidance – she assessed the situation after a walk-through and formed a “game plan!” This efficiency reduced the stress enough so that I felt at ease to focus on work and other tasks. Jamee was very friendly and patient and listened as we sorted through the priorities and next steps. She remembered details of our schedule (including packing for my husband who was taking boxes to FL in advance of JK moving). Jamee was very helpful in setting the schedule for future visits. Once she had a schedule conflict and she immediately arranged for Kristen O’Brien to help. I appreciated that since I had blocked the time in advance. Kristen was equally friendly, efficient, professional, and patient!!!. I called for help during a very busy time but PC went “the extra mile!” It was a pleasure to work with Jamee and Kristen and I trusted them both. We simply didn't have enough time to coordinate all aspects of the move AND continue to work – and we were grateful that Aida, Jamee, and Kristen stepped in to help. We appreciated their patience and kind approach to an otherwise stressful situation. We still felt stress related to the move, but not with Jamee and Kristen! I assumed I would help with packing (!) but they had confidence in their approach and took initiative to get things done, leaving me to work on other tasks. They communicated well during the process to ensure we were always on the same page. They were both so very easy to get along with and they managed to get so much done each day while creating a calm environment. Truly 5-star service!

What a great experience! I had Kelly and Marley help me with unpacking and putting things away in my new apartment right after a move in, including setting up the kitchen and master bedroom, among other tasks. They were terrific–experts at what they do, and very kind and patient with me during a very challenging moving week. I learned some great things from them about how to make my new space work best for me. I would not hesitate to work with Potomac Concierge on other home space planning projects and I recommend them highly!

My wife and I called Potomac Concierge at the last minute after moving into our new home. Aida was professional, courteous and accommodating. She set an appointment for the next day. Upon arriving Aida and her team were ready to work. They were beyond helpful and very organized. They helped my wife and I unpack ALL of our boxes, setup and organize our kitchen master bedroom and our closets. It was unbelievable how fast and efficient they work. Shannon was terrific, working under a challenging situation—conducting a long-distance Facetime inventory, working to clarify and classify a decidedly disorganized estate, overseeing careful packing of vintage concert posters and music memorabilia, as well as personal belongings going into storage after a long-time friend's move to a nursing home. She never made assumptions but checked with me as to identifications and such, and made sure everything was clearly catalogued. And she also made sure that when the materials were moved into the storage unit, they were organized for easy access. Lots of photos as well, to make things even clearer. An amazing job all around I'm truly thankful for her partnership in this difficult time.

I have had many clients that have particular needs. Potomac Concierge has been my first and only call with any need outside my scope of work. Decluttering, Retirement downsizing, errands, organization, personal assisting…. I am not easily impressed, every time it is the same service that exceeds my clients expectations. It is the only call you should make.

I called Potomac Concierge Services (PCS) a few weeks back, frantically needing help to get our house de-cluttered and ready to put on the market for sale before the end of the month. The rub was that we had three days to get it done before I had to leave on a 5 day business trip! Aida and her excellent staff, which included Audrey, Dionne & Susan whisked in and saved the day! They helped us purge, de-clutter and organize, all in record time. This was no small feat considering that my husband and I merged two households during our previous move without the benefit of a purge. Add five years and two kids to the mix and you can imagine the task we were facing. To say we felt overwhelmed was an understatement! But, the PCS staff immediately put our minds at ease. They had great suggestions and tips to get the work done efficiently and they were a joy to work with. Without question, I would recommend the services of PCS to all of my friends and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future!
